this isn't a joke.
Inviting Brynne.
This post is happening backwards. It started out with me talking about Brynne but then when you add pictures you have to drag them down and that makes me crazy. So here we go backwards. (Plus i have to go so this may look really disorganized.)
Inside the Paris, Idaho Tabernacle. Designed by a ship builder! It is beautiful.

Dave is back from China! That is exciting.
We hiked to Cecret Lake (i wish it was spelled Secret) and there were sooo many wild flowers. Everyone should hike there.
We visited my dearest friend Maria at her City and County Building job! She felt like a thumbs up was needed for all of our pictures. Weird Maria.
She works here. Not fair
(and this is where it was supposed to start)
Brynne! Remember how I said I wanted you to write on our blog but I thought you wouldn't want to? But then you did? Sorry it took me so long. You lived at the Yellow House longer than me and really everyone besides Jos. So you deserve it girl. Keep us updated on what is happening!
Dantzel comes to visit me next week and I'm so excited! I couldn't feel happier to have a friend like Dantzel for so long in my life. She was still my friend even when I was doing all those karate moves (thanks brynne, not.)
I had a very very nice trip to Utah full of visits and driving. It was really hot but I really liked it. I had my first experience visiting Logan/Utah State (where I saw Dantzel for like 3 seconds) and discovered the Fashion Box which was a personal favorite.
I realize we all run out of names for stores, but really? No one is this desperate. I liked this also.

It is really easy to capture these pictures when you are stuck in Logan traffic. Logan traffic? That seems weird.
Okay I am going to go to a Civil War reenactment. Is that spelled right? I promise I will be really careful. I love all you girls so much! Beth. Please post. I don't even know what is going on with you at all.

summasumm
Well hey! I've been such a terrible blogger and I think that's mostly because I haven't even been around to think about things like that. I can't even tell you enough how sorry I am about that one. My b girls, my b. Here's a couple updates on my life this summer, since I returned from the other side of the world.
First off, my cutie sister Allie got married. She and her husband Mike are just about the greatest people I know, and the whole day was a big big success. The whole event was real classy and I was proud to be her sister at that moment. Here's some pics of the wedding day and the festivities.
Sorry about the lack of pictures, but the truth is I'm far too lazy to go through the thousands we got and find the ones I like the best.
Pretty much every other waking moment of my summer has been spent as a health counselor at EFY, which means I don't really have a life. There's a complete lack of documentation of my life right now, and I apologize for that. The only pictures I really have are from the one week I did in San Antonio, when the other counselor took all the pics and then I stole them off facebook. So here's some from that week at least.
First of all, when we got into San Antonio, Hertz offered us an upgrade to a mustang for 10 dollars to which we said, "yes, please." Probably the best decision of the whole summer, and it may or may not have resulted in a photo shoot. Just sayin.
I spent the 4th of July at the Alamo. That was neat.
There was a semi-great statue that we took pictures in front of. There's one of me on that animal somewhere.
Aaaaaaand last, but certainly not least, the crowning gem of the summer. There was a counselor who is an aspiring cartoonist, and the health counselors asked him to draw us as anime. This is me as a hot pixie, Dan as a celtic warrior, and Katelyn as an elfen princess. Suuuuuch a big success.
That's pretty much my life in a nutshell. Oh and I make friendship bracelets like I am 12 again, but it passes the time. I'm getting excited to come pay Grace a visit in NYC in just a few weeks!

Preparing for departure
I have very little time now, but I still want to drop a line to my girfs. I am getting even more excited as the time draws nearer to my entrance into the MTC prison! I can't wait to go serve Heavenly Father and I am sooo glad that I made the final decision to go. I feel like right now will be the easy part of my mission: before I leave, that is. I know it will be hard but I am still really excited.
I will probably be able to go to the Buenos Aires Temple when I first fly into Argentina. I am reeallly excited about that. I can't believe 3/5 of us have already gone through the temple for the first time...so when I say that IT IS AMAZING, some of you will already know that. I LOVE THE TEMPLE! I have gone twice now and it is so great. Work toward the temple girlfriends. Anyway, I have all my mission stuff packed and ready to go, all ready already so I have 1 1/2 weeks to do all the other things that I've wanted to do in my life until I die, I mean depart.
Uh oh I got to go. Let me know how all y'al are. I'll try to call each of you before I leave and I'll do a better post in a couple days. I will be in Provo the 22nd in the morning before I go in, if anybody wants to have breakfast or anything, that would be fun.
Look up a picture of the Buenos Aires Temple. I tried to post it but my comp is being too slow. Oh, I sold my computer. I'm glad about that. But I miss it already.

The Blog is sad. Make it feel better.
Seriously guys! We can't let entire months go by without posts. I guess I'm in trouble too because I still look at all the time hoping that someone will post something and then I don't either.

Joslin! You leave on your mission so soon! I can't believe it girl. Every time I see the picture you posted from Argentina I always feel sad because I think it's on fire but then I remember that you were talking about fires in Santa Barbara when you posted it. It finally clicked in my head tonight that the temple itself is not on fire even though it does have an orangey-yellow glow going on in there. You should write us a post and tell us about everything that is happening! I need to be updated.
Well New York in the summer is pretty exciting. I rained for about a month straight and now it's really hot! With MJ passing away, I've experienced many MJ dance-a-longs at the park and sometimes entire streets being taken over by people dancing to Thriller. My most favorite MJ moment was this little band at the park last week. Dantzel you would have wanted to hug the singers. Cute little gospel guys singing their hearts out and everyone around was dancing and swaying to the music. It was fabulous.
I want to tell you more exciting things but I can't think of any. Oh wait. Who will be there for a Yellow House sleepover in 2 weeks??? This is something I must must do. I realize that we are sadly losing control of the Yellow House and I have to say goodbye! Even though the entire place looks different I still have to say goodbye.
Bonus question. Who remembers why this picture happened?
I found it when transferring everything on to my new computer and all I could remember is that everyone felt sad and put on all black and I got pulled out of bed and I put my comforter around me because it was black and we had to act really sad. Please remind me why this happened!
I love you all wherever you are!!

GLEEEEEEEE
Hello my dearest girls! I couldn't wait to share the news about the new joy in my life today. Heard of the show Glee?
Okay maybe you probably have but if you haven't will you please watch the first episode on Hulu? Here's the link http://www.hulu.com/watch/73740/glee-pilot or just search Glee on Hulu. And maybe if you won't commit to watching the entire episode, will you please watch the last segment? While watching this I just remembered hearing High School Musical blasting from upstairs at the house and thinking how happy "you are the music in me" made us. (and all of those great Moulin Rouge songs!) Anwyays, my dear girls, I want you all to have a lovely lovely day. I love you all so so much and can't wait for reunion 2010!!
Wait. Joslin!! We need to push the date back. 2012? No one else is allowed to go on a mission from now on.
